the_context_>
the Pride Student Coalition is a joint national initiative operating within academic institutions across Israel to cultivate safe, inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ students, bridging queer identity with professional and civic growth. with studies indicating that nearly half of queer students feel unsafe on campus and 60% conceal their identity, the organization required a visual catalyst to translate these systemic statistics into an urgent demand for institutional accountability.
the_approach_>
rejecting traditional corporate promotional frameworks, Saar chose a raw, documentary-driven structure centered on intimate personal testimonials. Handling the entire production end-to-end, from conducting sensitive interviews to framing the cinematography and crafting the final edit, I established a safe, vulnerable environment on set. the resulting impact film moves past dry data, transforming political statistics into visceral human faces and making an undeniable case for safety and existence in higher education.
